Help Save Artic Rose (FREE Project Boat)

Free Project Boat

The Boatbreakers team have just been asked to help save a Lonely Project boat called Artic Rose. Her owner reached out to us to help him find someone to take the boat on. It’s a project he had intended to finished but by his own admission life has got in the way. Now the boat is in a position where it could end up being scrapped if someone can’t be found to save her.

Her owner is happy to give the boat away for FREE as he knows it’s a big project for someone to take on. All of the details and pictures we have for the boat can be seen on our Lonely Boat advert here.

Worth Saving

From the pictures we have seen of what she used to look like she could be a beautiful boat again. Wooden boats always do have that charm which we think is worth saving. The boat is up in Cumbria at Maryport. Her owner has even said he will cover the cost of lifting the boat onto transport.

Over the years we have had great success in helping to save boats like this. Last year we were asked to make a video to help save a local yacht. Artic Rose even looks a bit like the Freda which is a classic boat we featured.

Get in Contact

Wooden boats in this condition aren’t to be taken on lightly. We advise anyone who is intrested in taking the boat on that you need to have the funds to complete the work. Ideally we don’t want to see anyone bite off more than they can chew. But we are sure there will be someone out there who would be happy to save her. So if that is you please fill in the contact for on the Lonely Boat advert.

Without Luke we would be lost, he runs the office, keeps us organised and is like a terrier and never lets a tricky boat disposal job go un-photographed or Tweeted about.

He also manages all of our enquiries passing them to whoever in the team is the best suited to deal with it. We are teaching Luke how to drive a motorboat or sail a yacht so while he’s learning we suggest you keep out of the Solent!

When he’s not at work he’s a massive football fan (his Dad used to play for Portsmouth FC years ago) and seems to know everything there is to know about any player, anywhere. Next time you ring and he answers, think of a tricky football trivia question and ask him

Our new Lonely Boats page has another great project boat available to buy. This boat is literally in her current condition because she was a lonely boat for the last few years. The Monterey 270 was bought brand new back in 2009 by her current owner.
