Boatbreakers Art: Artist Showcase @sophbish_art

Boatbreakers Art
Boatbreakers Art. Our first Artist showcase is for Sophie Bishop Art (@sophbish_art). Sophie creates incredibly intricate black and white drawings which we have always admired from afar.
We thought that what we do would give her plenty of inspiration for a drawing. Our brief was simple we just wanted our logo in the middle and then to let the creative side run wild around it. What Sophie came up with was fantastic. As you can see from the final design it is full of boats, sea creatures and marine items. Perfect Boatbreakers art.
Sea Changers
As we are supporting Sea Changers with every boat we scrap we love how the sea/sea creatures feature so prominently in the design. With the money we donate to Sea Changers they are supporting marine conservation projects across the UK.
If you follow us on Facebook you’d have already seen that the image is our cover photo. In addition to this we had some fun and changed the picture into blue and white. The blue logo from the design is also now our Instagram profile picture.
Poppy & Gibraltar
We have also featured some of Sophie’s previous work on this post. We particularly love the Poppy image and the picture of Gibraltar. It was the Gibraltar image that first gave us the idea for the Boatbreakers art. As the waves around the rock with the Dolphins and Sharks looked so effective.
Sophie is open to commissions so if you can think of an image or occasion you’d like an illustration for, get in contact. The easiest way to contact her would be through Instagram but we’d be happy to pass a message on. In the past Sophie has created artwork for Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Weddings.

Luke completed a journalism degree in Brighton University and fortunately for us uses this in his communications, Facebook posts, Tweets and emails to tell all our enquirers and followers what we are up to. Without Luke we would be lost, he runs the office, keeps us organised and is like a terrier and never lets a tricky boat disposal job go un-photographed or Tweeted about.
He also manages all of our enquiries passing them to whoever in the team is the best suited to deal with it. We are teaching Luke how to drive a motorboat or sail a yacht so while he’s learning we suggest you keep out of the Solent!
When he’s not at work he’s a massive football fan (his Dad used to play for Portsmouth FC years ago) and seems to know everything there is to know about any player, anywhere. Next time you ring and he answers, think of a tricky football trivia question and ask him

Boatbreakers are always looking to spread the word around the issue of boat disposal. We feel that a perfect way to do this is to get as many people aware of the problem as possible.
